Autumn woodland "Morning has broken" these huge broken branches are actually half a tree, split and shattered in a storm this year (2024). Photographed here on an early autumn morning, the scene was shrouded in low lying fog being slowly burnt off by the sun rising creating highlights around the fallen and twisted branches and surrounding foliage as it does so, the remaining misty fog giving a slightly ethereal feel to the scene as the tree slowly emerges. Photographed in Sunnybank vale, Manchester, UK
