GOLDEN EYE MSP0002503

GOLDEN EYE MSP0002503

The golden eagle is Scotlands largest bird of prey. It is estimated that there are less than 6 pairs left in the wild and they are very well protected, with locations being kept highly secret.
This particular female bird was captive bred and will never be released, although relatively tame with her owner, she is still wild when it comes to other people and is more than capable of inflicting a lot of damage.
She was patient just long enough for me to capture this image, though i spent a couple of hours around her.
This image was more than worth the fairly short wait.
