This is just a very small collection of images from Broddick bay, the main port on the Island of Arran, off the west coast of Scotland.

Arran comes under the jurisdiction of Ayrshire local authority, a very beautiful Island and described as the whole of Scotland in miniature.

The Island has an average year round population of around 5000 people and has a fully working lifestyle and macro economy, with its own police force and other emergency services and schools etc, basically every industry you would want is represented here , notwithstanding the world famous Arran distillery.
